SeaVegg ®
SeaVegg ® comes from the pristine coast of Ireland and contains the most nutrient dense profile of sea plants ever! Ten times more nutritious than any land plant, these are the most mineral-rich and nutritionally potent family of plants on earth.
Certain types of algae and seaweed have been used as food throughout history.
They have some specific uses in medicine and as food additives. Generally,
edible seaweeds are safe for people who are not allergic.
History has shown that dried seaweed supplements, also called sea vegetables, are
super nutrients that may contribute to the prevention of cancer and help numerous diseases.
Most seaweed does contain iodine, which is also available in iodized salt. Early
studies of seaweed extracts, in the lab and on animals, suggest that certain
compounds may one day be used medicinally.
Sea vegetables contain nutrients that rejuvenate the body. Harvested sea vegetables are concentrated,
containing several times more nutrients than land vegetables. It is believed that
frequent us of seaweed will normalize the thyroid and body weight, and taking
supplements made from seaweed will reduce food cravings. In some cases, daily use
of Sea Vegg is said to help against such illnesses including tuberculosis, fibromyalgia, cancer,
asthma, diabetes, and more due to nutritional deficiencies. These problems can be
prevented or helped by nutrients in sea vegetables, which offer nutrients that
cannot be found elsewhere. For example, the iodine that is added to salt cannot
be used by the body, while organic iodine from seaweed is easily absorbed.
Most of sea vegetables/seaweeds are dried after being harvested. The supplements
are available as powders, tablets, or capsules. Dried sea vegetables are also sold
in Asian and specialty markets to be prepared as food. Most of these vegetables
must be soaked to re-hydrate them before use. Some kinds of seaweed, such as nori,
are common ingredients in sushi.
Algae such as kelp, nori, and wakami, have been used in
Asian cooking for thousands of years. Because they were known first in Asia,
many types of seaweed are known in the United States by their Japanese names.
Seaweed has been used medicinally in the far east for centuries to treat liver
problems, swelling, phlegm, cysts, and enlarged thyroid glands.
In the 18th century, kelp was discovered as a source of iodine in the diet and
used to treat enlarged thyroid. This condition is often caused by
not getting enough iodine in food. Iodine was later added to salt to prevent
iodine deficiency in the United States, however, it is believed the iodine that
is added to salt cannot be used by the body, while organic iodine from seaweed is easily absorbed.
Recent studies reveal that people who eat seafood and algae regularly tend to
show that they have less less risk of cancer than those who eat more meats.
Recent lab studies in animals show several types of seaweed have slowed
the growth of cancer cells. A number of compounds extracted from seaweed also show
positive results in early research.
Bottom line is seaweed is a natural product produce by mother earth and as a result can be much more beneficial to
your health than any man made chemical compound promoted via lobbyist for big coporations at the federal level.
